Bharti Prajapati

Bharti Prajapati hails from the world of textiles, where she worked for a decade after her training as a textile designer at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai. However, she soon pursued her true passion for painting and eventually became a recognizable figure in the contemporary Indian art scenario.

With a special focus on the women of Kutch in Gujarat, the themes used by Prajapati range from spiritual to naturalistic to mundane. Her various series of paintings have earned her critical acclaim from across the world and she is renowned for her commissioned work.
